New Principal Announcement

Dear Greenwood Forest Community,

We hope this letter finds you well and enjoying a restful summer. As we prepare for the upcoming school year, we would like to share some important news regarding Greenwood Forest Elementary’s leadership. Mrs. Alisha Elrod will be transitioning to another administrative role within the district for the 2024-2025 school year.

In light of this change, we are pleased to welcome Dr. Shukella Price as the principal of Greenwood Forest Elementary. Most recently Dr. Price has successfully served as principal in Willis ISD and has been instrumental in leading effective teams at Title I campuses.

Dear Greenwood Forest Families,

My name is Dr. Shukella Price, and I am honored to join the Greenwood Forest Family as your principal. I have joyfully served in education for nearly 20 years, with extensive experience at Title I schools. I have served as a science teacher, a dean of instruction, and most recently, I have successfully served as a school principal in Willis ISD. Additionally, I am a proud Klein ISD parent with twins who just graduated from Klein Collins High School.

I’m very passionate about focusing on students as the center of our work and meeting the unique needs of every learner. I believe in building strong relationships among students, teachers, staff members, and parents, and I am so excited to begin partnering with all of you to motivate our students to be their very best in academics and character.

In the near future, I will communicate ways that we can meet one another and how I will stay connected with you as your new principal. I’m excited about everything that we are going to achieve together and can’t wait to begin working with you and our Greenwood Forest Grizzlies!

Mi nombre es la Dra. Shukella Price, y es un honor para mí unirme a la familia de Greenwood Forest como su directora. He servido con alegría en la educación durante casi 20 años, con amplia experiencia en escuelas Título I. He trabajado como maestra de ciencias, decana de instrucción y, más recientemente, he desempeñado exitosamente el cargo de directora en Willis ISD. Además, soy una orgullosa madre de Klein ISD con gemelos que acaban de graduarse de Klein Collins High School.

Me apasiona profundamente enfocar nuestro trabajo en los estudiantes y satisfacer las necesidades únicas de cada alumno. Creo en la construcción de relaciones sólidas entre los estudiantes, maestros, miembros del personal y padres, y estoy muy emocionada de comenzar a colaborar con todos ustedes para motivar a nuestros estudiantes a dar lo mejor de sí tanto en lo académico como en su carácter.
